This rack is capable of supporting up to 1,250lbs of weight. This rack is also offered with a Cantilever # TH43002XT-508EX. Or you can add the Cantilever # TH24002XT at a later date if you are unsure if you need it. The cantilever simply provides a support 32" in front of the rack for longer ladders or materials you will haul on your ladder rack.

Bud, I have a Ford F150 lightning (2023) what is the clearance between the bottom of the cantilever and the roof of my cab. Those screws look like they could be an issue. Thanks, Colin

@Colin While Thule could not provide me an exact clearance number I can tell you that you have nothing to worry about. I added an image which shows there is plenty of clearance for the F-150 roof under the cantilever Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-508EX.
