Recommended Hitch for a 2022 Lexus NX 450h+

Question:

I would like to have a 2inch trailer hitch for a recently purchase 2022 Lexus 450+. It is the noninch F-Sport model. I spoke with a local car rack store and they said that modifications are necessary for the Hitch #75540. The holes in the plates attaching to the NXs frame may be treaded and need to be ground down in order for bolts to go through. Please confirm if thats okay. Thanks

I can confirm that the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT82QR does fit your 2022 Lexus 450h+. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Lexus with included hardware. I verified this information directly with Draw-Tite. It does not fit the F-Sport model, there are no hitches for the F-Sport model.

I have linked the installation instructions below and there is nothing mentioned about grinding down the threads to make it fit. The holes on the hitch are not even threaded. You may to want to find another installer if the one you're at is already talking about grinding on the hitch to install it. This hitch is a bolt on installation that does NOT require drilling, grinding, or welding.
