Since Atwood/Dometic discontinued my unit GCH10A3E Do you know what unit replaced it or did they throw us under the bus?

While there are no direct replacements for your Atwood GCH10A3E water heater, we still have solutions for you! Atwood went out of business and Dometic picked up their water heater line so it's been slowly phasing out over the past couple of years.
For your application I recommend checking out the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR which has a 16" x 16" door, is rated for 60,000 Btu, and comes with a wall thermostat so you can monitor and adjust the temperature of the water easily.
The tankless water heaters are becoming more and more popular because they are more efficient as they don't have a specific amount of hot water stored - you get to use up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour which means you shouldn't be waiting to take showers anymore!
