Question:

Hello, Im looking to attach a snow plow to my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. It is a 5.7L Crew Cab, Long Bed. Would either of these front hitch models be preferable, one over the other? 306-X7900 or C31015. Thank you

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31015 is the better option for use with a snow plow on your 2014 Ram 2500. The receiver is lower on truck giving it a better angle, where the EcoHitch # 306-X7900 would place the snow plow at a sharp downward angle.

I recommend the Detail K2 Elite Snowplow # K2AVAL8826ELT for your Ram. This plow uses an electric actuator to raise and lower the blade so you will not have to worry about straps or ropes breaking with a winch type plow. You will want to install the Halogen High/Low Beam Light Kit with Turn Signals # K281488LB2 if you plan on doing a lot of plowing in bad weather or at night.
