Question:
Can you please tell me what gauge of wire is used on the LPL56CB? The trailer I’m going to install this on current has 14 gauge wire and I want to be sure it can make it work before I purchase the light. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light with Bracket # LPL56CB uses 20 gauge wire. This thin wire is all that is needed to power the led light as it only draws 0.045 amps at 12.8 volts.
