Question:

Hello, As with most cable valve systems. They start to leak over time. I want to add a new dump valve by the hose connection so when I remove the cap nothing comes out. I want to cut the existing 3 inch pipe and add the valve into the middle of it. Can I take the new T40 valve remove the flange on one side and install the T1005 on the valve and then put directly inline with the 3 inch pipe? I believe this will now give me a 3inch slip hub on both ends of the valve to go over my existing 3 inch pipe on both sides of the valve. Thanks for your help.

You can do that, however the mounting holes on # T1005 are a bit too close together, and won't properly mount to the Valterra Bladex Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank # T40.

Instead, I recommend using the LaSalle Bristol RV Sewer Slip Hub with Flange # 34466V13 which has a farther apart mounting hole location.

To properly secure these items together, you're also going to need some solvent # 3447530889 .
