Question:
Is it better to use the steel door holder 37210525 or plastic 37210444?

Expert Reply:
While the steel T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder # 37210525 is stronger and won't pop off or break as easily as the plastic T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder # 37210444, you do stand a better chance of damaging your door and trailer with the steel door holder. The plastic will break away easily preventing damage to your trailer where the steel is more likely to either rip the screws out of the trailer or damage the door by bending it on the hinges.
I prefer to use the Hook and Keeper # 37210444B as it includes a bumper. This bumper will help to prevent damage to the door and trailer if it is to swing open quickly.
