How Back Side of Thule XB16 Standard Tire Chains Attach to Tire

Question:
Hello, How is the back side inside of tire/wheel of the tire chain attached together? Are the two ends of the chain clamped, hooked or what is the mechanism that keeps them together? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The inside of the tire chain assembly consists of a plastic covered inner hoop that loops around the inside of the tire. The ends of the cable fasten together in a type of ball and socket arrangement as shown in the photo I have provided for you.
If you take a look at the video I have linked to, you can see exactly how the chains install.
