Will a Hullavator Work w/ Yakima Jetstream Crossbars?

Question:
I’ve read previously on here that the Thule Hullavator can mount on the Yakima Jetstream bar. I have a Ford Escape with Yakima Jetstream bars. The bars are 28” apart and extend 10” past my vehicle. If I purchase a Thule Hullavator, what additional hardware would be needed?

The Thule Hullavator item # TH898 is definitely compatible with Yakima Jetstream crossbars. You will want to use the square nuts that come with the Hullavator to attach it to your crossbars. If your crossbars already extend 10" past the side of your Escape you shouldn't need anything else. The Hullavator needs to extend 4" - 8" past your roof racks legs for the assist function to work properly and it sounds like you easily have this. You will need a minimum crossbar spread of 24" so the 28" you have will work great.
