Updated 05/25/2025 | Published 05/24/2024

Question:

Trying to mock up the hullivator to the Yakima core bars and don’t see how the hardware will allow me to secure the rack to the bars. Please elaborate.

Hey Rex, so the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 comes with hardware that allows it to fit around aero shaped crossbars like the Yakima Corebar. You might be under impression the only way it attaches to aero bars is to the top channel which the Corebars do not have. There is hardware that comes with it that can wrap around the aero bars as well. Its actually the hardware letter Z in the attached install instructions.

@RobO The Skyline is actually the feet of a roof rack but it's normally associated with the Jetstream crossbars which which have the top channel the Hullavator was designed for.

Hi Jameson, I have an older Hullavator that was only used one season and has been stored in the garage since (in a covered box). Other that a bit of discoloration it is in perfect shape. You mentioned there is a part that can be used to mount the Hullavator to a Yakima Core Bar. Does etrailer have this part for sale ? If you don't, are you able to show me a picture of it or give me the part number? The under bar of the Hullavator that attaches to an areo bar shaped bar with the T-slots has this attachment part that looks like it can be removed and a wrap around mount looks like it could be used in its place to attach it to any areo shaped cross bars. Please help/advise. Thanks, Sue

@Sue Is it the older style of Hullavator or is it the current # TH898?
