Question:

I have a 2022 Santa Cruz Heckler emtb with a 50inch wheelbase and around 49-50 pounds of weight. Can this handle the bike, or will it be too tight?

Since the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU64FR can handle up to a 60 lb bike with a max wheelbase of 50" and since your Santa Cruz falls within these specs (even though the wheelbase is at max) it will be a great option for you!

The Transfer V2 comes with a cable lock but if you want to lock the rack to your hitch receiver you'll also need the locking hitch pin part # HL1.

I have an Rocky mountain Altitude with a wheelbase of 50.4". Will this still fit on the Kuat Transfer V2? Or should I be looking for another rack?

@Dan In all honesty, you could get your bike to "fit" on the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU64FR but it would be "busting at the seams" and wouldn't be as an exact fit as either of us would want. An alternative bike rack I recommend that has a larger wheelbase compatibility is the Hollywood Racks Crosstrack # HLY27RR. I got to handle this bike rack last year when Hollywood Racks brought it by etrailer for us to look at and I was pretty impressed with it. Hollywood Racks always does a great job at combining functionality at an affordable price which is a big reason I like this brand.
