Replacement Wheels For A 5,200 Pound Trailer With Tandem 3,500 Pound Dexter Axles

Updated 08/12/2022 | Published 08/11/2022

Question:

Installing new wheels on my 5200lb GVWR trailer with tandem 3500lb Dexter axles and 5 on 4.5 lug pattern following an axle flip. The tires will be overkill for off-road use at 10 ply with max of 80 PSI. A tire monitor sensor will be installed on each valve stem. For this reason I do not trust the push-in style stem, prefer a bolt-in. Here is the set-up Ive chosen to purchase from Etrailer and want to make sure I wont have any compatibility issues: Dexstar 15x6 wheels AM20545 with Americana Bolt-in Stem AM20906 using .453 grommet and Lionshead Lug Nuts LHLR103. Please confirm this set-up is compatible stem will have clearance to bolt, etc.. Thanks!

Yes, The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20545, The Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906 and The Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # LHLR103 are all compatible with each other.

The trailer wheel is a steel wheel with a modular design which is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The wheel has a weight capacity up to 2,150 pounds and has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

The valve stem has a chrome plated brass construction and has a simple bolt-in installation. The valve stem should be installed using a single grommet. Do not use both of the included grommets to install the valve stem.

The lug nut has a stainless steel cap construction and is corrosion resistant. It has an overall length of 1-1/2 inches.
