This wheel is built for serious hauling. The Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel measures 15" x 6" and carries a 2,600-lb rating that meets DOT standards. With a true 0 offset, the mounting pad sits right in the center of the rim, keeping load stress even across the axle for steady performance under weight.
Road salt, moisture, and grime don’t stand a chance. The steel wheel’s e-coat primer is sealed under a black powder coat finish that resists rust and chipping. It keeps a clean look and dependable finish through wet seasons and long hauls.
Fitment stays simple with this conventional design. The wheel uses a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, accepts 1/2"-20 lugs, and has a 3.65" pilot diameter. That combination provides solid centering and connection strength where it counts.
The solid center styling gives off a timeless look that works well with different setups. It’s made to accept either clip-on full cover hubcaps or snap-on baby moon hubcaps that cover just the center section, so you can easily customize the finish to match your trailer or project.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dexstar 15 inch by 6 inch Black Conventional Steel Trailer Wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this wheel is a sturdy steel construction, has excellent corrosion resistance 'cause they use a two-step finishing process, which will first include an e-coat primer and then a nice black powder coat finish over the whole wheel. Now, we've called this a conventional designed wheel, and when I say that, basically what that means is it's an automotive-style wheel that has a solid center design and it's designed to accept the clip-on full cover hub caps or the snap-on babymoon hub caps, that'll just cover the center section. Now this wheel is a high-quality wheel.
It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. Now, we do not, as you see, there is no center cap included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do want to get a center cap that has the same diameter as this pilot hole right here 'cause when you install a center cap, it'll go through this hole. The pilot hole diameter is 3.65 inches.
Now, this wheel is a Dexstar Wheel, which is made in the USA. A few measurements I'm gonna give you is the diameter, which we'll measure, and the width on the wheel. And on the diameter, when you measure the diameter on a wheel, you're gonna measure inside to inside. Basically the tire beads will seat on the wheels, and what you're measuring is bead seat to bead seat, inside to inside. So if we take a tape measure, and you can see if we go inside to inside, there's your 15-inch diameter.
Same way on the width, we'll measure bead seat to bead seat. So inside to inside, there's your six inches on the width. And the bolt pattern on this wheel we mentioned is a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure a bolt pattern, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, six. It's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other.
So when you measure the bolt pattern, just pick any hole, say this one right here, and measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this, it'll measure 5-1/2 inches. So that means it's a six lug, 5-1/2 bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on the wheel is 2,600 pounds. But that should do it for a look at this Dexstar 15 inch by 6 Black Conventional Steel Trailer Wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Curious what you used ad hubcaps or center caps!? Im trying to set up a 63 airstream.

I used a cone center caps. You could also use a dome style center caps.

Turns out these were crap. out of four not one of them was round enough to use and it’s been to long to return so they were a big waste of money.
