Yes, the Derale Oil Filter Relocation Kit # D15748 will fit your 1965 Pontiac GTO with the 389ci engine. Your oil filter uses a 13/16"-16 thread diameter. We also have the Derale Oil Filter Relocation Kit # D15716 specifically for the 13/16"-16 threads. You can also use the Derale Dual Mount Oil Filter Relocation Kit # D15749 if you wish to use 2 filters.
The PTC Custom Fit Engine Oil Filter # 351P1A is the new filter size you will need to use with any of the 3 relocation kits.
