Can you tell me the weight of the unit. Also, could the unit support being mounted horizontal instead of vertical. I’m considering mounting this on the back underside of the Tab 400.

The weight is just 19 lbs for the Demco spare tire carrier for trailer tongues; it also comes in your choice of silver or black in color (the weight is the same for each):
- Silver: Demco Spare Tire Carrier for up to 4" Trailer Tongue # DM15851-52
- Black: Demco Spare Tire Carrier for up to 4" Trailer Tongue # DM15851-76
As for mounting, it does need to be mounted vertically so the weight is centered on the carrier itself as opposed to on the mounting hardware.
There isn't actually any similar type of trailer spare tire carrier that would be mountable horizontally.
