Question:

I am looking for a spare tire mount for the trailer in the attached photo. The challenge I have been having is finding one that looks like it would work for a 5-bolt 8 inch wheel standard 4.80-8 tire. I would like to put the tire in the spot in the picture if possible. An alternate location would be outside of the angled bar. The center tube is a 3x3 inch square tube. Thanks

The Demco # DM15851-76 Spare Tire Carrier you'd looked at wouldn't work for you, as the mounting plate for the tire wouldn't fit inside the wheel.

I'd recommend using a simple U-bolt style locking spare tire carrier like # FETCLB0201. The carrier is compatible with 8 inch wheels like what your 4.80-8 tire is mounted on and fits trailer frames up to 3 inches wide. I've provide a photo showing the carrier installed on a trailer frame in a similar spot to where you're planning on mounting yours. A padlock like # 131D is available separately.
