Question:
I have a Diamond Cargo 6’ x 12’’. X 7’ H cargo trailer that we converted into a camper2017 model. Will this unit be ok mounted on the roof, and will it keep it cool? Is a 30 amp breaker adequate.

The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ACM135 weighs approximately 75lbs so you will need to support the roof to handle the weight. Typically people just build a frame out of wood or metal and mount it to the frame of the trailer. The roof will need to be thickened up to 2-1/2" to 5" thick with an opening 14-1/4" long x 14-1/4" wide.
The # ACM135 is just the rooftop unit so you'll actually want the # ACM135C instead, which will come with the air distribution box and a start capacitor. The air distribution box has knobs on it to control the system and the start capacitor helps lower the starting wattage required to start up the rooftop unit, which will help extend its lifespan.
To power the system you will need 30amp service. If you don't already have a 30amp inlet you can install the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet - Black # 277-000138.
From there you can run power to a distribution panel like the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 60 Amp # PD4060K. This panel has both AC and DC ports for fuses and circuit breakers to power the rooftop unit and air distribution box as well as the other appliances in your trailer. You'll need a 20amp circuit breaker for this system.
Based on the size of the trailer a 13,500 BTU unit like this will be more than capable of keeping your trailer cool but you'll need to keep in mind that your trailer doesn't have insulation (unless you installed it) so you'll be losing a lot of cool air and running the AC a lot.
