Hello again, Mike. The best way to resolve this is to simply replace your distribution box at the same time as your AC unit. The distribution boxes are not terribly expensive, and that way you would be able to plug the AC right in without any cutting and splicing. Cutting the plug off of a brand new AC unit is not advised.

What I recommend for you is the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV92SR. This comes with the 15K BTU AC unit, distribution box with controller and wall thermostat. Everything you need to replace/upgrade your current AC system.

@PamF Hey Pam, thanks for reaching out. The answer here will be the same as what you saw above. The best option will be to replace your whole AC system with something like the Advent # ADV92SR. This way we can be sure everything will work as intended. Looks like you already have one on order, so feel free to reach out if there is anything else you need.

@JesseM I did this exact thing, and my thermostat is shooting an E5 error code. Any suggestions?

@AlexaH The E5 error code means there's a communication error between the relay box and the thermostat. This is typically cause by things being wired incorrectly. If you're hooking it directly to the relay box without any extra wire and it's wired correctly and you're still getting the E5 error then either the relay box or thermostat is defective and needs to be replaced.

Hi Jesse. We had a Coleman Mach 3 and ordered the Advent ADV92SR. Everything fit in nicely and all wires are connected, but we have no power and it will not start. Was this model we ordered compatible as a complete replacement to the Coleman Mach 3? When we first started looking at units on the site, I saw a PDF chart of recommendations for Advent replacements, and now I cannot locate that chart for the life of me on any page. We need help. Thanks!

@Ginger It is either wired wrong, or it is a compatibility issue. We have been running into this a lot since they switched over to the new R32 refrigerant. In this case the best option will be to replace your distribution box and thermostat with one from Advent. This way you can be sure everything will intercommunicate correctly.
