Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41945 for your 2006 Ford E-350 Van. This is a class V receiver with 2" receiver opening.
For the wiring I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11140495 as it uses a powered converter. This will give you a 4-way flat that controls the lights for the trailer. You will connect this to the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. With this you will be able to install a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 and will have the 4-way/7-way connector on your Van.
