Updated 07/19/2022 | Published 07/15/2022

Question:

I put a charge line kit on the tow vehicle and the motorhome is exactly the way your photos says and the instructions in the kits. I have a 2011 Chevy equinox I put the car in neutral and set the key to auxiliary turned all the accessories off that I could GM motors recommends to take fuse number 16 out so the battery wont die on you when youre towing so I did and the battery still dies on me I stop every 2 hours and have to jump the battery to get the car started am I doing something wrong?

If you have the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75 and Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 installed and are still getting a dead battery, you likely either have too large of a power draw or a blown fuse causing the battery to not charge at all.

The charge lines transfer just 15 amps to avoid overcharging the car's battery, so if you have too large of a power draw then the battery can still die.
