Does The Spare Tire For a Trailer Have To Use The Same Wheel and Tire as What is Already Mounted?

Question:
I have a boat trailer that did not come with a spare tire. I want to get a spare tire but I can not find the identical rim anywhere. Your site has the same tire and lugnut specs but the spare would be on a different rim. Is that an issue? Or is it ok to trailer that way?

I see you were looking at the Karrier ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" Aluminum Wheel # AM32195. While having the same size tire and bolt pattern is really all that is needed with a spare trailer tire you will want to make sure they also have the same load range as your current tires. This tire is a load range C with 1,870lbs capacity. It is okay if the tires are different manufacturers and if they require different air pressures as they are only supporting the load of the trailer.
If you can send me a picture of your current wheel and the information on the sidewall I can see if the tire matches and if there is an available wheel that matches what you currently have.
