This setup is made to handle serious weight and distance. The Triangle ST235/80R16 radial tire carries up to 4,080 lbs at 110 psi and uses an all-steel belt design that holds steady mile after mile. With a Load Range G and a 75-mph speed rating (L), it’s built to stay cool on long highway runs while delivering dependable traction whether the road is wet or dry.
The 16" x 6" Dexstar modular steel wheel adds strength and style with a silver powder-coated finish over an e-coat primer. That combo blocks out moisture and road grime so corrosion doesn’t stand a chance. It keeps its clean look and structural integrity even after seasons of use.
You don’t have to guess when it comes to setup. The wheel uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, a 4.90" pilot diameter, and a true 0 offset for balanced load distribution. Wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18, with a wheel capacity of 3,750 lbs—plenty of margin for tough jobs.
The radial design keeps this tire running smooth at speed. With cords set at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel, the tire flexes evenly and runs cooler than bias designs. Less heat buildup means longer tread life and steadier handling when you’re hauling down the interstate.
It’s backed by a 1-year worry-free guarantee that replaces the tire if it’s damaged in any way during the first 12 months. Add in a 2-year limited warranty on the wheel, and you’ve got assurance that this tire-and-wheel combo is ready to roll with confidence.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Triangle ST235/80R16 heavy-duty radial tire with a nice 16-inch silver mod wheel with an 8 on 6 1/2-inch lug pattern, load range G. So folks, this nice tire wheel assembly is great for stock trailers, utility trailers, and campers, and it's got a nice Dexstar steel modular design here on the wheel. Those holes are what the modular design is and it, again, has a 8 on 6 1/2-inch lug pattern. The 6 1/2 is measured from the center to center, diagonally across or straight across, rather, between two studs.
The pilot diameter here is a 4.90. The section width of the tire is 9.25 inches with an overall diameter of 30 and 7/8 inches wide. It's load range G, which means it's a 14-ply tire rated at 4,080 pounds at 110 PSI. And the maximum speed is a speed rating of L or 75 miles per hour. Now folks, this Triangle heavy-duty special trailer tire has a special trailer design and should only be used on trailers and not other vehicles.
The all-steel belts inside the tire itself are gonna enhance the durability and also extend tread life. Now, the computer-aided or computer-generated tread design here has a superior traction in wet and dry conditions from the design, but also the premium rubber compound material that they used on it. And this whole tire wheel assembly meets the DOT specifications. Just a nice tire and wheel combo, folks, that we're looking at today. I'm Steven.
Thanks so much for your time. Thanks for joining me. Stay safe on the road.

I am disappointed that the Tire date code is already one year old ( july 2025) stamped on the tires. Everybody knows these things have a very limited lifespan.
