Dually has a gooseneck ball in the bed. Is this part compatible for both?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58FR will be compatible with the gooseneck ball hitch in your 2016 Ram 3500 Dually. It's rated high enough to handle the GVWR and pin weight of your 2016 Grand Design Momentum 397th fifth wheel but you will need to check the bolt pattern of your current hitch to confirm fitment.

The # GY58FR you referenced fits a 1621 bolt pattern so your current pin box will also need to be a 1621. If you can find the tag on either the front or side of your pin box that has the serial or RPO numbers we can cross reference it to determine the bolt pattern.

If you don't have the tag then you can take a few measurements to determine the pattern. I've attached a guide below that will walk you through determining the bolt pattern. If you find that you have a different bolt pattern than a 1621 then let me know and I can find the correct fit for you.
