I need to know what the attachment cord diameter is where it attaches to the trailer.

The Solera 18' Replacement Awning Fabric - Blue Fade part # LCV000334421 uses a 1/4" poly cord per Lippert. If your existing rail will not work with this you'll want to swap it out for the Solera Awning Rail Extrusion part # LC715216.
