Hi I have a 2018 traverse and i was looking at adding a roof rack. But it seems like the kits are missing a piece that runs from front to back that would hold the channel that the cross bars mount to. Is there another part i need from my car? or is it a model that i have to install it a different way? Which one would you recommend?

Thanks so much for the photo, and it shows your 2018 Chevy Traverse has a naked/bare roof. And the roof rack that fits actually uses clips that grasp onto the door jamb, so they don't actually fit into a channel. The best roof rack for your '18 Traverse is one that installs that way, from Inno:
