We do offer various different antennas for RV stereos like the Jensen Antenna part # 44US01R or part # JAN139. The difference mostly comes down to mast length, mount type, and cable length. The actual plug which goes into the stereo is universal so you don't have to worry about brand. That said, the actual mast is specific to the base which means you can't usually just replace this part so you'll need a new unit if yours is gone or damaged.

I have attached our full list of antenna options below.

Hi Conner, I have a Jensen model AWM975 stereo AM FM DVD that was originally installed in my Lance camper. It incorporated a future TV (which I never bought or installed). The antenna for the tv (Made by/for Jensen, about 10" round disk for use by the TV) got ripped off leaving only the base and a coaxial cable exiting the base. This antenna was also used by the Jensen radio. I never intended to install a tv so I do not intend to replace the tv antenna. SO, I do intend to install a radio only (AM/FM) antenna. Fortuantely the spot on the roof is exactly over the area where the wiring for the radio are, easy. I called Jensen radio (now somebody else), they said my intension to simply install a new RADIO antenna would be best provided I remain anti TV in the future. I told them "I understand the longer antenna, the better the signal". They for the most part agreed, rocommending a 30" long antenna. Too long! He said I could get a 10" long rubber mast antenna from you, part number 1181067. I looked that up, this antenna is 16" long. I can deal with that however, I really only need 3 or 4 feet of cable to reach the radio. Can I buy it with a shorter cable? Also, is the connector to the base of the antenna a thread on coaxial cable type fitting? Finally, If I install it and it gets hit by a tree branch, I understand it will brend down then string bach to the upright position, correct? THANK YOU for your reply! Jeff

@JeffK Thanks so much for all the detail — it really helps paint the full picture. It sounds like you’ve got a great plan in place! From what you described, it seems like you still have the original antenna base with the threaded coaxial port mounted on your roof — please correct me if I’m wrong. If that’s the case, you’re in great shape to install a new radio antenna without much hassle. Given your setup and the fact that you’re only using it for AM/FM (no TV), I’d recommend the Jensen Antenna – Top or Side Mount, part # 44US01R. It’s a solid option, and should work well with the base you already have. As for your concern about tree branches — you’re good there too! This antenna has a rubber mast, so if it does get bumped by a branch, it’ll just flex and spring right back into place without any damage.
