Front Hitch Recommendation for 2020 Ram 1500 for Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier
Published 05/28/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Gen 5. I want to install a front hitch for a cargo rack/bike carrier. Is there an option that does not require the removal of the active air dam under the front bumper? Thanks!

The only front hitch currently (May 2022) available for your 2020 Ram 1500 is the Curt # C87FR. This does require you to remove that front fascia air dam under the front bumper but you will need to make a cutout for the hitch receiver to fit through and then you'll reinstall it. This is pretty normal for pickup trucks and front receivers. Half the time you can install it without modifications and then the other half you do have to do light or heavy modifications.
