Can I Install a Front Hitch on a 2024 Ram 1500 w/out Taking Off the Air Dam?

Question:

I installed one of these before on a 2022 Ram. This time around I am wondering if the air dam really has to be removed? Could the hole be cut without removing the dam and then install the hitch? What do you think......

I am not sure but I think it's probably going to be difficult to cut that square hole accurately and feed the receiver through it while the air dam is installed.

The installation process for the Curt Front Mount Hitch item # C87FR is the same on the 2024 Ram 1500 as it was on the 2022.

This Curt 31090 front mount hitch will not fit on my 2025 Ram 1500. The receiver tube will not rise up far enough to get the bolts through the front vertical portion of the hitch. Even with the rubber air dam fully removed the receiver tube runs up against the metal of the bumper before it can rise far enough to secure the bolts. If I try to use the lower front bolt holes in the truck then the horizontal piece of the hitch can’t be connected to the frame. I am aware that others with 2025 Rams have had success but I just can’t see how this can be made to work. Any advice? Have others complained about this same issue?
