Question:

I have the Equa Flex Item # LC279687 on my tandem axle TT currently. I would like to replace all the bolts and bushings with the wet bolt kit. A few questions: 1. What wet bolt kit # for this equa flex system? 2. In looking at the amount of rust on the two bolts going thru the actual yellow part of the equalizer, do I need to replace these as well? If so, please provide this item number as well. 3. Do I need new brass bushings for the existing equalizer when I replace the bolts or just on the leaf spring attachments?

For the Equa Flex kit that you have the correct wet bolt kit is the part # LC64FR which comes with heavy duty shackles as well. It would probably be a good idea to go with new bushings too with part # D014-077-00 but that really comes down to whether or not the equalizers themselves are damaged to point of needing replacement. If that's the case you'd want to go with the part # LC279687 instead of the bushings.

You'll have to inspect the equalizers to determine what shape they are in and if they are rusting to point they would need to be replaced. If it's just surface rust I wouldn't worry about it.
