Does SuperCoils Kit for 2020 Ram 1500 Increase Towing Capacity of Truck

Question:

Hi, I see a comment that says these super coils add about 2480 lbs of support to your suspension. Is that an addition of 2480 lbs from factory, or is this the total number of support? Also, if this is the total number of support, what is the capacity of the OEM springs on a 2020 Ram 1500?

This is a good question, but the overall weight capacity of a vehicle does not increase necessarily when going with stiffer springs like with the part # SSC-51 that you mentioned. You do get additional suspension support which means the suspension would sag less when carrying weight that still falls within the capacity of the vehicle but since overall weight capacity is based on several other things like frame strength, brakes, transmission, wheels/tires, cooling system, etc. you don't get to increase the capacity of the vehicle.
