Are Lower Support A-Frame Brackets Normal for Trailer Jack
Published 05/20/2022 >
Question:
I just purchased a electric A-frame Jack to replace manual jack on a 2012 chalet takena trailer. Instalation instructions say to install a lower support plate on frame if not already present. Is it common for a trailer to have this lower support frame? The trailer is in a storage lot almost an hour away so it is not convenient to go look at it. Thank You

Expert Reply:
There really is no way of knowing if you have that lower support plate without you checking on your specific trailer. It seems to be kind of hit or miss as to whether you need the Bottom Support Plate # DL22763 so you can either purchase the support plate just in case or you might need to plan a trip to go look at your trailer prior to purchasing.
