For a great low-profile toilet, I recommend the Dometic 311 Part-Timer RV Toilet - Low Profile # DOM67FR. Not only does this toilet only measure 15-1/2 inches high, I confirmed with Dometic that the trap stays open while the pedal is compressed. The huge advantage of this model is that it comes with a slow-close lid that prevents slamming and prevents noise. It also comes with a 360 swirl flush instead of the jet flush of other models. As far as compatibility, the Part-Timer requires a cutout that measures 10-3/4" long x 8" wide.
