Question:

Hi, I have a trailer that has Dexter axles. The tag on the axle shows a lot of info but the largest number is shown as 4400. The drums have a number of 8-201. If these are the correct numbers to reference, can you tell me what inner grease seal fits this particular setup?

Expert Reply:

Per Dexter your axle will need the Grease Seals # RG06-070. We also have the Bearing Kit # BK3-300 that will provide you with new wheel bearings, races, a grease seal and cotter pin. I recommend having one or 2 of the bearing kits with the trailer in the event a wheel bearing is damaged while you are on the road.

The Seal Puller # PTW1219 and 7-Piece Installation Set # PTW83020 will make replacing the parts easier.
