Trouble Removing Old Bolts When Installing Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit 6,000 Lbs
Updated 05/02/2022 | Published 05/01/2022 >
Question:
K71-652-00 - The installation looks easy on the video, but on my trailer there seems to be a lot of pressure when I start to remove bolts. Do you jack up on the axle and start to remove bolts or do you have to also jack up on the frame. I am just not sure how you release pressure so that all bolts can be removed fairly easy. Thanks.

In regards to installing the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit part # K71-652-00, you'll want to have the trailer in the air with the axles hanging freely, sitting on a set of jack stands. That said, you can then use a floor jack to raise one of the axles up to loosen the bolts and help them slide our more easily. The shoulder bolts are knurled and seated so you will likely need to hammer them out regardless.
