Advent Air Conditioner Runs But Does Not Blow Cold Air

Question:

Fan and compressor coming on but not cooling significantly. If I put my hand on the coil it is not cold.

There are a number of reasons why your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM135 is running but not blowing cold air.

The first thing I would check is that the thermostat is set correctly. Ensure that it is set to cool, and that the unit isn't set to just run the fan only.

It is unlikely since you mentioned it's a new unit, but I would also check your filter, and make sure that it is clean and not full of debris.

Finally, I would attempt a reset. To do this, you will need to start with the thermostat in the OFF position. Then press and hold both the FAN and MODE buttons. While holding those two buttons, press the power button and release the two other buttons.

From here you can attempt to see if the fan has returned to normal operation, if it has not, and is still malfunctioning, let me know and we can troubleshoot further.

there is no thermostat and it is brand new I would rather see if we could fit it then have your guys send me a replacement how do you do a reset without a thermostat hooked up

@RonR Hey Ron, to reset your Advent AC without a thermostat you'll need to locate the circuit breaker that powers the AC unit, turn it off for at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the system; or if your AC unit has a visible reset button on the outdoor unit, press it after turning off the power to attempt a reset.
