According to a representative from CE Smith, when the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies - Galvanized Steel - 9" - Qty 4, part # CE10000G-4, is installed correctly these brackets do not support any weight. The u-bolts support the weight. The representative said as long as you use a, part # CE10000G-4, on each crossmember you will not have any issues with the weight of your boat.
