Is The Spring Keeper Needed For Installation Of The Demco Composite eZ-Latch Replacement Repair Kit?
Updated 03/23/2022 | Published 03/21/2022 >
Question:
According to your instructions I do not require the spring holder. I have tried for 2 hours to install the spring. I cannot seem to keep the spring in place between the roof of the holder and keep it there while I get the ball holder post in line with the final wedge so I can tighten the screw. It’s been a pain. Any suggestions. The video that I watch always shows the black plastic spring holder being used.

The optional part is the coupler spacer block not the spring keeper. You will need to use the spring keeper on the Demco Composite eZ-Latch Replacement Repair Kit # DM6008.
The spring keeper has two settings, -2.313, and -2.00, and depending on your coupler will dictate which hole you'll use.
I have included a video of # DM6008 being rebuilt without the coupler spacer block, for you to check out.
