Will Thule Motion XT L Fit On 2013 Ford Escape Factory Crossbars

Question:

Im wondering if the Thule Motion XT large #TH629806 will work with the OEM factory crossbars on my 2013 Ford Escape Titanium? I only see it installed on crossbars that are straight, but the Ford factory crossbars have more of a curvature on them.

Yes, you will be able to carry the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Glossy, part # TH629806, on the 2013 Ford Escape Titanium's factory roof rack. The curve of the crossbars will not cause you any issues. You will have to be careful about opening the rear hatch of your vehicle. In order to open your rear hatch, without any interference from the Thule Motion, you will need to have at least 51-1/4" between the center of the front most crossbar and the line where the roof and the hatch meet on your vehicle. If you do not, you will not be able to completely open your hatch when this box is on the roof of your vehicle.
