Theres a cross member under the bed of my brand new Silverado that is exactly where an under bed hitch would go. Would this over bed hitch be a good choice for pulled a gooseneck horse trailer?

Unless you want to wait for a custom fit option, something like the Buyers Products 42" x 13-1/2" Gooseneck Hitch Plate with 2-5/16" Ball And Two D-Rings # 3373014981 is what you will need to use. At this time there are no gooseneck hitches specifically designed for the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD. This gooseneck hitch plate bolts to your truck frame and body. Keep in mind, this will be permanently taking up space in the bed of your truck.
