The correct way to select the right Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution is based on the tongue weight of the loaded trailer plus any gear behind the rear axle in the tow vehicle. The two dot bars part # BXW4006 are rated for up to 750 lbs, the three dot bars part # BXW4007 are rated for up to 1,000 lbs and the four dot bars part # BXW4008 are rated up to 1,500 lbs.
It's best to be just a bit under the weight capacity but so long as you are not exceeding this you'll be fine.
