Question:
Hello, I’ve been following your installation video for the Universal Installation kit and the Tow-Pro Elite for 2018 and 2019 Toyota Highlander for my 2020 Highlander gen. 4. They are very helpful, thank you! Your installers recommended using the 20Amp circuit breaker for the controller however Redarc in their manual recommended a 30 Amp breaker. Which is best for the vehicle and the controller? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
When installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR you need to use a 30 amp circuit breaker. That is assuming you don't already have one installed as part of your 7-way wiring.
For example, if you installed the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 you would already have a breaker installed, and most factory wiring harnesses will have the appropriate circuit breaker or fuse. If you don't have one and need one, you can use the 30-Amp Circuit Breaker Kit for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, Classic, and Liberty Trailer Brake Controllers # 331-CBK30-EB.
