Question:

Best way to be able to charge a 12 volt Lithium Camper Battery. Currently my Casita Camper has a Parallax 7300 Series Power Converter.

Hello Matt.

You have 2 options for being able to charge lithium batteries on your Casita camper. The first is to remove the Parallax 7300 converter and use a Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger - 12V - 45A # PD69RR to replace it. This is not a direct replacement and will require some modification to install this converter/charger to the 12 volt wiring on your Parallax power center.

The other option is to completely replace your current power center with the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4045KA. This is something that will require modification and rewiring the power center. This unit is 12-1/4" long x 8-3/4" tall x 7-1/4" deep and requires a cutout: 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall. You will need to determine if your camper has enough room for the power center. This power center allows you to charge either lithium or lead acid batteries with its smart wizard converter/charger.
