Brake controllers are not vehicle specific, all of the brake controllers we offer will work with virtually any vehicle. I would recommend using a proportional controller such as the Tekonsha P2, part # 90885. A proportional controller will sense the speed and intensity of the braking vehicle, and send the appropriate amount of voltage to the trailer brakes so that the vehicle and trailer stop at the same rate.
If the trailer you are planning on towing has a 6-way connector, use part # ETBC6. If the trailer uses a 7-way connector, use part # ETBC7. Since the wiring kit is not vehicle specific, no instructions are included. Wiring the controller is a pretty simple proposition. The controller itself has 4 leads, a blue wire which carries the brake output signal that runs back to the trailer connector, a white wire that grounds to the negative battery terminal, a black wire which connects to the positive battery terminal via a circuit breaker that is included in the wiring kit, and a red wire which connects to the cold side of the brake stoplight switch.
The trailer connector included in the kit would tap into the running light and turn signal circuits. If a 12 volt trailer accessory power feed is needed, a wire would need to be ran to the truck battery, using the 40 amp circuit breaker included in the wiring kit.
