Flat Towing a 2013 Wrangler Using D-Rings

Question:

Can I use the D ring Plates on the RedRock 4x4 Attack Stubby Winch Front Bumper ? that I have not purchased yet, I am looking for alternatives to base plates

Per the manufacturer the RedRock 4x4 Attack Stubby Winch Front Bumper is not tow rated. You can not flat tow your Jeep using this bumper and D-rings.

If you decide on a bumper for your 2013 Jeep Wrangler that is tow rated, I recommend the following. If you are looking for a tow bar that has a coupler, the Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar, # BX4330 with a 2" ball coupler is my suggestion. You can use the Blue Ox Aftermarket Off-Road Bumper Adapter, # BX88357 for a 7/8" Pin or, # BX88358 for a 1" pin D-ring.

For a hitch mounted tow bar, and my preferred set-up, I suggest the 6K rated Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. Use the Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars, # RM-035-1 for 1" Thick D-Rings. Or, # RM-035 for 3/4" D-Rings.
