7-Way Trailer Connector Harness for 2008 Nissan Pathfinder With Existing 4-Pole Connector

Published 01/14/2022

Question:

Hello, I have been looking for a wiring harness for my 2008 Nissan pathfinder LE, it already has a flat 4 connector at the rear but I need to upgrade to a 7 pin for proper break control on my trailer. Hopefully you can help me with this inquiry. Thanks

If your existing 4 pole utilizes the jumper harness and relays shown in the provided photo, you could simply use part # 118282 which provides the actual 7-way and the pigtail needed to install it into the tow package wiring at the rear of the truck.

The jumper harness and relays plug into the factory connector located behind the passenger side kick panel next to where the front passenger's right ankle would be.

If you don't already have a brake controller in mind, I'd recommend a reasonably priced proportional brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160. You'll also need the brake controller wiring harness, part # 3050-P. The harness would plug into the tow package connector located under the dash near the top of the e-brake pedal. The connector has a white tag on it that will make it easier to locate.
