Question:

Hi I have a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 that I use for expedite trucking. I need a swing away hitch mounted system that I can put a Honda generator on securely and safely locked to supply power inside the van. Do you have any products that would be suitable?

I recommend using the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 with the 24x27 TorkLift Lock and Load Maximum Security Cargo Tray # TLA7752. This will allow for you to secure your Honda generator that is smaller than 24" wide by 27" Long. The Yakima BackSwing will reduce the tongue weight capacity in half on your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. Be sure to verify your receivers tongue weight rating and do not exceed 50% of the tongue weight capacity.

The Yakima Backswing can support up to 250lbs. With the TorkLift Tray weighing 68lbs, this will leave you 182lbs maximum for your generator. Again be sure the total weight of the BackSwing(35lbs), TorkLift Tray( 68lbs) and your generator do not exceed half the maximum tongue weight rating on your Sprinter.
