Do all these harnesses have to connect to the battery?

If you are looking for a quick and easy plug and play wiring to get your 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL set up to be flat towed behind an RV, then the Curt # C96JR will not require a wire to the battery. This will plug in behind the tail lights and then follow the frame up to the front of your Jeep and you are good to go.

On the other hand, if you are needing to get wiring installed to tow a trailer behind your 2021 Wrangler JL, then yes you will need to run a line up to the battery. This is due to there not being enough power running through the tail lights on your Jeep to adequately power lights on a trailer as well. If this is the case, I recommend going with the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118786. I have found their harnesses to be the longest lived out off all the brands we carry, so it will serve you well.
