Question:

Good afternoon, Do you have any recommendation for a ball mount and hitch ball 3500 lbs minimum I can attached to a 2020 BMW X3 XDrive30i factory installed trailer hitch? I need to tow a 5x8 U-Haul cargo trailer and not sure how much or rise the mount should have. Im a complete novice. Also, do you sell any tool/torque wrench I can use to tighten down nuts and bolt for a 2 ball hitch? Also, note sure if I need a wrench torque reading and what ft.lb? Thank you, Carlo

I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs item # 989900 for your 2020 BMW X3. This will give you a couple options for height on where your ball should be. This will fit the 2' receiver in your X3's factory tow package. I have also linked an article that will help you measure for trailer hitch drop.

We do offer torque wrenches. I recommend the Torque Wrench - Dual Scale - 1/2" Drive - 250 ft/lb item # PT79FR. The torque rating for both the 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch hitch balls that are included in the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit item # 989900 is 250 foot-pounds.
