Question:

Good morning. I am looking for the overall height of this unit. What is the height of the unit in the closed position, from top of unit to the bottom of the handle? The description say overall height of 6, but it appears to be more like 7inch from the photo. Im trying to determine how much of the handle will protrude below the ceiling once its installed. Thanks for your help!

The MaxxFan Dome Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, # MA00-03812W is a 6" diameter fan with overall length of 9-1/16".

When properly installed this fan will have a vent height of 2-15/16" when closed and when open, 3-7/8". This has all mounting hardware included, but if you will need sealant too for the install. I suggest the Silicone Sealant # 0160297.

And note that this also comes in black, MaxxFan Dome Roof Vent with 12V Fan # MA00-03812B.
