Does Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #C13381 Fit 2022 VW Tiguan SE R-Line

Question:

I see youve specifically guaranteed that this trailer hitch fits the 2022 Tiguan SE R-Line in responses to QandA. It does not fit without removing a splashguard see photo of removed piece sitting in trunk and more importantly cutting the trim. See attached photo with trim not yet cut being compressed by installed hitch receiver. Do you have a solution?

The only solution would be to do what you mentioned of trimming the lower fascia and removing the splash guard like you mentioned to install the # C13381. I know it's not ideal but both of the things you mentioned are very common steps for installing hitches on newer vehicles.
